(Al-Anfal) 8 : 32

And remember when they said: "Oh Allah, if this should be the Truth from You, then rain a shower of stones upon us from the sky or You bring us a painful punishment".

This was not a prayer but a challenge from disbelievers of Mecca during the Prophet’s time. It can be seen through verses 4: 81, 91, 145 and 5: 49 that the arrogance and disobedience of hypocrites in Medina were much worse than that of Mecca. Today, the talkative hypocrites are dumb about Lord’s Book Adhikr and their followers are deaf about hearing Adhikr; they are denoted as the worst creatures among 1000 communities of creatures near Lord as explained in verse 8: 22. The believer who submits wholly to Lord will consider Adhikr as the Guidance, Mercy and Glad Tiding as mentioned in verse 16: 89. The soulless and worthless disbelievers will witness against their soul at the time of death: “We were disbelievers” as told in verse 7: 37. See explanations 5: 48; 6: 111 and 25: 29-34.
